Since we have an elite QB, it makes more sense to me to spend your resources on WRs your QB clicks with. Usually elite talent fits that, but not always.
If the rumors are true, and Mahomes was all in on Rice after working out with him, then I think you have to defer to the Veach/Reid/Mahomes brain trust.
