Honestly I wonder if actually drafting Rice makes a Hopkins trade an even better chance of happening IF the Cards are ok with a 2024 pick?
I mean it seems the biggest hiccup was Veach needed either the Cards to pickup $10M of his salary or Dehop to take $5M and Card take $5M. Which neither wanted to do.
Now with adding Rice and how I agree these young WRs need to play to develop doesn't this make a guy like MVS and his $7M saved cap hit if traded turn into the perfect tool to get a Hopkins trade done?
Hell see if Cards will still do just the $5M cash, take MVS($7) for now a total of $12M saved instead of the $10M Veach was looking for.
Now maybe throw in WGJ if those rumors were true to get the deal done and a mid round 2024 pick.
Seems perfect if you ask me
