All the speculation online is that they’re going to make Cody go through Brock and maybe Solo, then challenge and beat Roman at WM 40.

That would be fine, but Roman has already been champ for like 3 years. They’re basically broadcasting to everyone that Roman will be champ for another year. There’s no reason to watch any of his matches until Mania next year. You already know the result.

Making Cody wait a bit would make more sense if Roman had been champ for like a year or so. There would still be some doubt about when Roman would drop the belt.
