Yeah, I get why teams pulled in and out of interest. I doubt taking on the rest of his contract is a very big part of it. If teams are upset about a salary dump I imagine that’s more a comment of Arizona still hard lining on draft picks for a guy they clearly don’t want to pay than it is resentment that Arizona won’t pay off part of his contract.

There's a theory out there that ARI is waiting for the draft. That after certain teams don't get the WR they wanted out of the draft, DHop's value will jump, meaning higher draft picks, and ARI will be able to maximize their profit from the trade.
Nick Wright talked about it a little in his podcast, don't know if he mentioned it on his show. In fact, during his mock draft episode or whatever it's called, in one of them he has KC trading their 2nd round pick for DHop (plus something, I forget what now). But he talks for a second about why he thinks ARI won't trade Dhop before the draft. Strategically it makes a lot of sense
