Maybe that's the way it runs in your house but here we don't really talk in absolutes unless we mean to.
Let me use your analogy to hopefully make things more clear.
Car's in the shop so my wife said she was going to order delivery. I told my wife I didn't want pizza tonight. She tried like hell to find anything OTHER than pizza but at the end of the day, everything else she looked at either wouldn't deliver to us or was so expensive it wasn't worth it.
So she bought pizza. And since it's right there on the table, I go ahead and eat it. Because to me and mine, "I don't like pizza" does not mean "I will never eat pizza for any reason."
