It's not the worst idea, actually. Think about it: running a more balanced attack means less opportunities for Russ to **** things up, that's just a given.

Then, look at the Division. No AFC-W teams are great at stopping the run. LAC has been in the bottom third of the league for a couple years now in that regard, LVR boasts one of the NFL's worst defenses for a couple decades now, and the Chiefs aren't built to consistently stop the run either. difference being that Spags can stop the run situationally when needed. DEN better stock up on some quality RBs though, because the RBs they have now aren't going to shred KC's defense anyway.
