Am I missing a part of what Toub said? Obvioulsy he's not my favorite guy but how is OP the example of him being dumb?
He said "It happens, Veach had a plan. He had a plan. He always has a plan, he's a smart guy. Just didn't work out I guess, unfortunately for Lammons because now he's not going to be able to play. So, it's just the way it goes. Obviously, he was a good player for us. And for three years, did a lot for us and I want to thank him for that. I'm going to miss him, no question. But the future is still good for him.
I don't see how we are interpreting this as him saying Veach ****ed up. It seem's like a coach who cares about his players, and that's important in the NFL, as a player to feel like your coach has your back. I thought this qoute wasn't that bad, or is there another I'm missing?
