Allbright is credible on Chiefs Planet again!
Benjamin Allbright is friends with Dan Quinn and has been wanting him to get the Denver job for the past two offseasons. Sean Payton has never been someone Allbright wanted in Denver. He has called Payton a fraud, a snake, and a quitter. He goes back and forth with Quinn detractors on twitter and on his radio show every day. Allbright has a vested interest in Quinn getting the job. Odds are if Payton gets the job, George Paton and his staff (i.e. Allbright's sources) will be gone in a year.
I prefer Payton but both Payton and Quinn have their pros and cons.
Payton Pros: Denver would get a top 5 coach who has a history of turning around struggling teams. He is also an offensive wizard, which would be nice to have after watching our offense struggle for so long.
Payton Cons: Would cost draft picks. George Paton might not stick around.
Quinn Pros: Led a team to their first Super Bowl appearance in 18 years. Was the coordinator for one of the best defenses in NFL history, a defense that held the highest scoring offense in NFL history to 8 points in the Super Bowl. He turned around a totally inept Dallas defense and had them in the top 10 both years he has been in Dallas. The Broncos will get to keep George Paton and their draft picks.
Quinn cons: Not an offensive coach. Will be hard to keep any offensive coordinator who has success.
