He did the same thing with Von Miller last year when he traded him for a 2nd and a 3rd. Von's deal was even better because Paton could've brought him back had he wanted to.
He literally turned two expiring contracts and the 96th overall pick into a 1st, a 2nd, two 3rd's and a 6th. Most GM's are just happy to take the 3rd round comp pick a year later, not The General  |
