Skip may be playing the fool and making lots of money to do it, but there's a difference between playing the fool and method acting the fool. I think he's barely smart enough to know that his stupidity gets ratings, so he'll lean into his irritating persona and spin the same opinions he's had for years and years, but he's incapable of turning off his stupidity and whacko behavior. I don't think he can NOT be the Skip Bayless character he crafted on TV.
He's just plain bizarre. Like how he pretends to be black and makes sure everybody knows it whenever a topic about race and sports comes up on the show. And how he goes beyond the MJ vs Lebron debate into treating it as a religious person would view good vs evil.
Like... he's not getting paid by Fox Sports to post this to social media. He made the choice to post this and not earn any money.
