It should be noted that he is formally interviewing for the job tomorrow. So, it's not like he's just not interested. He was just smart enough to not want to be the guy left straightening the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Can't fault your logic on that at all (I wouldn't want my fingerprint anywhere near this), but wouldn't that lead to the assumption that maybe management doesn't have a firm grasp on what they're doing?
