Agreed. I was thinking about this a while back when something happened (don't remember what).
In theory, we want people to be able to say that they're hurting, or to reveal their anxieties. But guess what? We all have fears and anxieties. We all get traumatized in ways large and small. When everyone is sharing everything, then it causes others to get anxieties and be traumatized.
I think it's fine and good to be able to share when you're really hurting about something, or if you're being chased by a hell pig or a buffalo/tiger hybrid. But these days everyone is sharing how traumatized they are by having to empty the trash at work or having Starbucks run out of milk for their espresso. There needs to be a minimum bar for being traumatized, and anything below that bar is just dealing with life.
