Getting the Bills back to Buffalo makes perfect sense regardless of any decisions. First of all, those guys just went through something awful and need to be home with their families.
Second, as pointed out, logistics of lodging a football team are usually so complex that they make the reservations as soon as the schedule is announced. This just wouldn't work.
Finally, if a player or two or three or whatever want to stay behind I'm sure that's not a problem.
