MVP is dominated by gaudy stats, narratives, and everything weighted more heavily late in the season.
Overall, he's still got more passing yards, more passing TDs, more total TDs, higher YPA, higher passer rating, higher QBR, higher ANY/A, and fewer turnovers (than pretty much everyone), but I think Mahomey throwing 2 TD and 1 INT over the last two weeks and losing the head-to-head with Burrow has impacted his MVP campaign.
Prior to these last couple weeks it was clearly Mahomes' to lose. Right now, I'd say the gap has narrowed and it's probably Mahomes with the edge, Hurts, Burrow, then Tua and Josh Allen.
