So a bit off topic, but we've discussed gear here before.
Who has a cutting board they're proud of?
I've been cooking a lot more recently, and am looking to upgrade my cutting board game. I have decent, not great knives, but they're sharp and cut well. I have cheap shitty cutting boards. They're fine and are made of shit I can throw in the dishwasher. I'm looking for a big nice board I can leave out on my giant ass island. Objective is to just use it for vegetable prep so I don't have to wash it. I'll keep the cheap ones for meat to reduce the amount of washing I need to do on the wood one. It will still need care, but I'm looking to keep washing and care streamlined as much as I can.
So I looked around a bit today with sick kids, and didn't really find anything that stood out to me. Most of the places I normally look to buy shit from had pretty low grade shit. Looked around and found some that look OK, but can't really verify quality. Looked on Etsy to maybe support some small businesses, but similarly there are a ****ton of options and few of them were very big. I found some that might work, but wouldn't mind finding a vouched-for option.
Anyone have anything they're proud of, or know of anybody making these? I'm willing to drop some coin, not a grand or anything, but a hundo or two doesn't scare me.
FWIW, this is what I'm considering.
