only thing I can figure is that he was 'offended' when they drafted Wan'Dale. You couldn't find two more different HCs than Judge and Daboll and two more different GMs than Gettleman and Schoen. What motivated him to go on strike vs the New York Football Giants, can't figure.
I think it goes deeper than that because he behaved the same way for the Judge/Garrett/Kitchens staff. It's not the coaches, it's the Giants themselves. He never wanted to be here, that's pretty clear.
Still think it was a bad trade

Toney was a complete dolt here however you don’t give up on talent in less than 2 years.
I still say there’s more than meets the eye on what was going on. It just seems like him and Daboll were never on the same page. Daboll has been amazing but I think he got this wrong.
Time will tell.
It just is what it is, time won’t matter

something happened where he wasn’t playing here anymore. He can go on to score 10 TDs this season and it wouldn’t change that his time in NY ended. Both parties seem better off, good for both parties.
I still believe

that this whole thing about not wanting to play here is due to him getting offended by all the heat he took on social media both this year and last year. The evidence has been clear since he was drafted that he lives on social media, and judging by some of the back/forth we have seen, he is SUPER sensitive and EASILY offended by criticism. I think he was turned off to the Giants fans and the Giants and couldn't wait to get out of here. And to me, the skipping in to the end zone today was basically an F you stating that his leg was never hurt in the first place. If all this is true....as soon as he screws something up in KC, same thing will happen there.

He did in the preseason, but my theory is Daboll and Schoenberg just didn’t want him here, it was more they didn’t trust him.
I don't think that was the initial case. Back before the draft, I remember reading somewhere where the Giants indicated they would listen to all trade offers except for Toney. Its more than likely that all changed when he stayed away from the voluntary organized events.

We may never know all the details but something was off.
I was hoping to see him play the second half of the season but it just became toxic situation whatever the reason.
I know **** Him is what I know. **** him.
Only the Giants and Toney really know what happened

But it seems clear that schoen/Daboll wanted him to work out here. Even if he was not an ideal fit - his talent is undeniable and so, of course, they wanted him here.
So- Toney had his reasons to want out of here. We are Giant fans (and we finally started to win some games) so it doesn’t make sense to us
