Zero anticipation. By the time he noticed Toney was open, the LB had seen it as well and Jones wouldn't pull the trigger.
He's out there waiting for a guy to
be open instead of
break open. I don't watch enough Jones to speak to how often he does that, but usually they're like spiders - if you see one, there are WAY more behind the walls.
I always wondered why Jones wasn't better than he is because I think he's a great pure thrower of the football. But that would make some sense - he just doesn't (didn't?) have the necessary anticipation. He's behind the play.
