If Moore was starting and playing lights out do they do this deal? Not sure they do but maybe it is looking at 2023 season where MVS, Hardman and JuJu all will be wanting paid. If they think Moore is a better player they probably do not see Tooney getting off the bench this year. Not sure i give a third for someone that returns punts the rest of the year..

This is a move for the next 2-3 years. The Chiefs have 2 of their top 3 WRs with expiring contracts after this year.
It has nothing to do with Moore.
As for why that's further proof, people are acting like the Chiefs traded for a WR because they're unhappy with Moore. They've probably been eyeing Toney going back to the draft. They've definitely had their eyes on him since trade runors started in the spring (April which is before the draft), and clealry had discussions too.
This isn't that complicated.
