Browning was an extremely promising ILB who Paton thought could be even better at EDGE. He was right.
Paton got Randy Gregory for a bargain price. He was arguably the best EDGE we had prior to his injury and was amongst the league leaders in pass rush win-rate. Gregory is the 21st highest paid EDGE and he was playing like a top 10 EDGE.
Ejiro Evero was putting all of his edge rushers to good use and was giving teams fits with his Chubb/Gregory/Browning package. Gregory should be back in 2-4 weeks.
