Everything else aside, they must've been hoping he somehow only ended up with like a 6-8 game suspension?
Because if they had any thought it could be a year, WTF. That'd be 2 years out of football, plus the cap hit situation, and the fact they're throwing a whole year with no QB and a good roster.
