DJ and Bucky Brooks added it up, and Denver essentially gave up the equivalent of the #1 overall pick for Russ. I'd rather have Russell Wilson than Aidan Hutchinson, Evan Neal, or Ickey Ekwonu. You would too if you were in Denver's situation.

Wilson couldn't really do anything on a team with average coaching and poor drafting. The NFC West had mediocre QB play for the duration on his career in Seattle too.
His past 3 post-wins were against Detroit, Bridgewater and Josh McCown.
He essentially just joined a similar team with the same issue...except with coaching/ownership instability..in a division with two of the best QBs in the NFL.
Expecting a different result is just off-season dreaming...Wilson is a 9 win a year QB who got lucky (in his first few years) with a generational defense.
He is what he is at 33 years old...living off reputation of early success.
His second SB appearance was a fluke...on a once in a decade onside kick gaffe.
