Hunter’s upside is huge. He hasn’t shown any concerns with his neck injury and was extremely productive after coming back from the neck injury. See below, 6 sacks and 27 pressures in 5 games!! I’m not concerned about the pectoral injury. He’s been making big money also so I’m not concerned about a drop off in play after a pay day like frank clark. You could mitigate the injury concern in the trade with basing the pick next year on his production. He’s a scheme fit, freak athlete and he’s young and relatively cheap. Again, I prefer Jones but I’d prefer the hunter trade over z. Smith. We can still get good talent if we acquire the 55th pick back.

Then a training camp "tweak" in 2020 turned into neck surgery and a lost season. So Hunter attacked his rehab with his famously unparalleled work ethic and got back to where he wanted to be. He dominated the Cardinals with three sacks in Week 2 of this season, and had racked up six sacks and 27 pressures through five games. He was well on his way to another monster season.
