Unfortunately I lean toward the latter. Competent QB play from the Broncos isn't something we've seen from them in forever. And with Williams in the backfield, solid receivers, and a good defense, I don't think this should be celebrated by Chiefs fans.
Pretty sure we weren't winning that late season game in Denver had it been Wilson behind center instead of Lock.

Wilson had plenty of offensive weapons in Seattle. And last year wasn't his only down year, he has had 2 in a row now.
This makes Denver better but still the #3 team in the division at best.
And talk about games played last year with x player vs y is nonsense, we all know this so no reason to use the example. KC knew who they were playing.
Denver overpaid IMO, plain and simple. Maybe they had to just to appease the fanbase since they have been dogshit for 6 years in a row and obviously cant draft a QB for shit.
