Don't get me wrong - it's not a BAD trade for them. But it seems pretty desperate.

I haven't put much thinking into this, but if there's a new ownership group coming in for the broncos, I bet elway is desperately trying to sneak into a wild card spot with the hope that it'll save his job.
This is not a good look when you're welcoming in a new owner.
