NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports contract talks between the Packers and Aaron Rodgers are "in a very good place."
Rapsheet also reports any new deal will almost certainly make Rodgers the highest-paid player in the league. It's expected to be on the shorter side, with some cap trickery/voidable years to spread out the money. Rodgers, of course, has yet to formally announce he is returning to Green Bay — or the NFL — but The Athletic's Matt Schneidman reported Wednesday that Rodgers' impending Packers return is the "worst-kept secret" of the Combine. At this point, it would take something truly dramatic to derail this partnership.
