Of course they're doing that. That's what all teams do initially when they decide it's for the best if they trade away a player. You never start talking immediately if a team reaches out to you. That's negotiating rule #1. Play hard to get and make the first offer be as high as possible. Thankfully General Paton works for the Broncos, which is the only franchise in the NFL that can force a deal if it wants one. /Knowmo
