NBC dug their talons into him. Too many years now at that job where the only topics he receives are the usual clickbait questions of, "Which QB would you most want to have for 10 years???!!!"

He's actually pretty terrible now. He's never been that great at talking on camera. The verbal tics and buzzphrases he relies on would make for fun drinking games. Just count the number of times he begins an answer to a question with some variant of, "Yeah, I mean, here's a guy who ________"

But now that everything is so formalized into TV segments, he's been given no freedom to do any deep dives except on that Unbuttoned podcast, and even then the amount of good material he delivers isn't close to what he used to do when he was with Bleacher Report.
