I'm enjoying What If? for what it is, but I'm concerned that it's making other characters seem weak. Quill, for example, now seems (even) more like a buffoon than a swashbuckler. And Hela's powers were from her headdress?
I tend to like the more earth-based, punching-criminals kind of superhero stories, so maybe I'm overthinking. I do still like that the superhero genre is big enough that it can hybrid with other genres, for superhero/space operas and superhero/heist movies, and so on.
