This. As much as I would want a stud at WR or someone to take over at DE once we kick Clark to the curb next year, don’t force it. Take the best available talent. IMO a 2nd round pick should be able to compete for a starting role by year end, and we have two such picks. Play your cards right and you can get a talented player who fell like Thornhill. Reach and you end up with crap like Speaks.
If DE isn’t added we can sign Ingram (although the depth chart looks horrendous there for 2022).
If CB doesn’t work sign Breeland or another of the available cornerbacks.
WR seems to be the main position where there’s really not much available, so if we can’t get one in the draft we’re probably stuck with what we have. Watkins was injured so often though that they’re pretty used to that by now.
