"Any given Sunday." As Chiefs fans we've been on the wrong side of that one for decades. I know I have a tad of Chiefs PTSD even after we won LIV last Feb.
But as a fan of football, watching the Browns finally get over the hump and beat the Steelers, in the playoffs, in CLE's first playoff game in nearly twenty years? That was an epic show. A "feast for the eyes," as I believe Howard Cosell once said. As a football story, it's a really good one.
For me, it was very reminiscent of my Blues finally winning a Stanley Cup in 2019. I feel like I can relate to what must've been a kind of Heaven/Hell for you while you watched that game.
But yeah, CLE's defense is not good. Not enough quality pieces yet. I've been saying for awhile now that it'll be a couple seasons yet before you have the pieces you need on D, and they get settled into their roles.
So this is probably not your year, Browns fan. Not if Mahomes comes out hot.
But I'm sure you and yours will have a heck of a time anyway.
