Seems like cops could have reached in and turned the car off and taken the keys instead of spending all their energy trying to pull him out of the car first.

It would be terrifying to be peacefully asleep and then be awakened by a bunch of police trying to pull you out of your wrecked car at a drivethrough window.
Good work by the cops there, despite a little foul language. I'm kind of surprised they don't have something that would blast a car window out faster.
