"Harsh" is pretty-much how I've always described bourbon or scotch. I guess I'm a wuss that way too. As for tequila, I've always wondered what made the person who invented it decide to bottle it instead of try something new. And
grappa is even worse... It's just terrible. It was a "qualification drink" on my submarine back when hazing was legal.
