And I have no idea if they would cut him after drafting his replacement, but it was an option discussed on the internet.
Suggs was such a big improvement on defense, I can’t imagine them not wanting to upgrade his replacement.

Where to begin...
Whether you or I believe Okafor is not dependable or not, the Chiefs are keeping him on the roster at $7.2 million this year. A cap number that large isn't being kept around for someone who isn't seeing a significant role.
Kpass is a backup, yes, but he put up 4 sacks in a limited role as a backup which isn't bad. I don't know where you see this "conversation" that there's talk of him being cut, but I guarantee it's BS. He's making $1.3 million this year and there are far bigger cap hits that could be gotten rid of to free up salary.
Saying Suggs was such a big improvement is a huge stretch. We were already trending up on defense at that point and we only added Suggs after Ogbah was out for the season. He did alright.
Again, I'm sure it would be nice to find another DE at some point. But that player is most likely a backup/rotational player. And DT is almost assuredly set, unless Jones is traded. So calling DL an area of major concern, or however you worded it, is incorrect.
