I think going forward the Chiefs should draft a starting WR about every 3 drafts, then let them walk or trade them at the end of their rookie contract. To me, that makes sense with Mahomes as QB. You sign a guy like Tyreek when you find one because you aren't finding another Tyreek. He will be here until he sucks completely. He will be our Marvin Harrison or TY Hilton. But other than that, Mahomes is going to make any decent WR look great. So go find a starting quality guy and flip them every few years unless you find another freak of nature like Tyreek, then you keep them or flip them for a big haul. It's the same approach I would take with starting RBs, and I think nearly everyone agrees with that position.

Edit: I should add that with both Sammy and Robinson on one-year deals, I believe they should try to grab a good WR by the 3rd. Hardman will be #2 next year, this years draft pick will be his backup. If the backup excels and becomes a starting quality guy, we let Hardman walk after his 5th year or trade him before. In two years we will need to draft another quality WR to be the backup behind this year's draft pick. Saves money to pay Mahomes.
