The Chiefs cooked that defense for 40 points despite losing Hill about 10 snaps into the game and Mahomes having his original ankle sprain happen in the first half.
The Jags' overall personnel at that time surpassed the Chargers (similar bookends, better corners, better cover LB). The only real difference was that the Chargers have Derwin James and no one else does.
Tartt is going to need to have a Derwin James-like impact against KC for the 49ers to really hope to significantly slow the Chiefs O on Sunday, IMO.

And it was Week 1. The Jaguars had every reason to give it their best shot at the time. They did get pressure on Mahomes and plenty of hits on him. But the Jags secondary got lit up like fireworks on July 4th.
