Obviously, the 49ers are a better team than the Vikings.
And Jimmy is a better QB than Kirk. Though I'm curious to see how Jimmy does when pressured consistently, and he can't rely on the run game.
But I wonder just how much better. Because I'm seeing trends in their performances that lead me to believe that the 49ers defense isn't that great against the run. And that there are holes in the secondary that can be exploited by a passing attack like ours.
Because it's going to come down to once Pat figures out what those weaknesses are, and cancels out the running attack of SF, can Jimmy go throw for throw against Pat?

Lots of teams have loaded up on the run against us. Basically trying to use the Pats 6-1 Superbowl scheme against us since our offense is so similar the Rams. Essentially, that means you give up big plays to Kittle, Juice, Sanders, and Deebo.
I don't think it works too well. It's better to load up against the pass, try to contain big plays in the run game then try to score on offense. Easier said than done though.
