As you move away from cable, it's been my experience that you will watch a helluva lot less TV. Books and music and (god forbid) actual conversation have taken the TV's place. I'm on year 6 of no cable.
I have an OTA antenna in each room. (The first one I paid waaay too much for - like 30$. Soon found out the 8$ antenna works every bit as well.) Your TV picture will be MILES better with an antenna. It's amazing what the picture look like when it isn't being sent through 6000 miles of cable or beamed thru a sat.
Plus for games in your area, you'll be 35 seconds ahead of anybody with cable/sat.
We have Netflix, but I barely use it. If there's a game on that I have to watch, I'll find a stream and hook it to any TV with HDMI.
Also, I'm not a gamer so I don't worry about data caps. We play actual board games and cards. We have our house pretty much set up with echo devices and Hue lighting which all runs through the router or wifi. And still I don't have any issues streaming with all the devices in play. (26 total echo, HUE, various KASA plugs and switches garage, and locks. and security cams.
40$ for internet and whatever for Netflix. I refuse to give cable any money.
