Don't know about that. The diehards that really are diehards through thick and thin are getting older. Fans from the 80s and 90s are now finding other ways to spend their money. They have kids, grandkids, 80" TV's to watch all the games on, boats, RV's, etc. Plus, this is a different NFL. The thirty somethings are too busy to watch a loser franchise that seems to be going nowhere. The 40 somethings and up don't waste time on things that don't bring them joy or are poorly run. Millenials want a winner NOW. They are entitled. Fans in Denver were entitled already. Millenials will find something elso to do, someone else to cheer for. So, that leaves who? Teenagers and preteens. Oh, and women. They will be flocking to Mahomes though because all they've ever known is the Chiefs kicking the Donks asses. By week 8, half the seats in Pile High will be empty. Fans will go skiing instead.

You pretty much just summed up the generic NFL fanbase... not just in Denver.
