First of all, if you read my posts carefully, you'll note that I didn't say that it was all about rings. That a career's worth of accomplishments could stand as nearly the same thing.
But as I said before, it is an incredible accomplishment. And no one is more proud and admiring than I am. Period. Okay, except for his parents.
But in 20 years, maybe even sooner, it would some of its luster if that was his only accomplishment(s). People (probably) would begin to question just how incredible his performances really were.
To cement his legacy, for any player to cement their legacy, they have to show that it wasn't a fluke. They have to continue to perform at or very near that level. That's what greatness is all about.
