Apparently, the Broncos just restructured Flacco's contract:

In many ways the fact the Broncos were willing to re-structure quarterback Joe Flacco's deal is at least some endorsement of what they've seen from Flacco, both in the building and on the practice field. Before the re-structure the Broncos could have parted ways with Flacco after this season without any dead money against the salary cap, but now if they parted ways after this season the dead money charge would be just over $13.5 million. That's significant for a team that looked long and hard before taking on Case Keenum's $7 million worth of dead money to make the trade with the Redskins earlier this year Flacco now has three real years left on his deal with the Broncos, including this year.
