The first day Mahomes stepped into Arrowhead, Andy took him to the chalkboard and threw the kitchen sink at him. Andy was impressed. It was more important for him to get a QB that could understand his system and to be able to adapt it on the fly- then just a guy that can throw 80 yards in shorts.
Now you see this on game-day. Andy is always right there, coaching him on what he did right or wrong, what they did to stop him and then fixing it for the next series. Pretty amazing stuff. This is what Montana, Manning, and Brady could do later in their careers. Mahomes is light years ahead of them so far.
