I can't find anything in the google world but I agree. I don't want a former running back/running back coach to be an offensive coordinator at all. I want a QB coach, WR coach, TE coach way before I want a RB or OL coach for an offensive coordinator. I guess this way, Reid shouldn't be challenged for play calling at any point this season.
If Mahomes and this offense play lights out this year maybe he will get a shot at a head coaching position in 2019 and Reid can promote Kafka to OC.
