Denver can have its pressure and sacks. It just won't make as much difference as it has in the past against the Chiefs. We no longer have a QB that folds when he sees a defender breaking through the line. Sometimes it seems like Mahomes excels when a play starts to break down.
Sure, Denver will get some sacks, but 2nd or 3rd and long isn't as scary as it used to be. Where I used to give up on a series after a false start or a sack backs them up, Mahomes has shown the ability to still convert.
In the Denver game he dug us out of two 3rd & 8s, a 3rd & 10 and a 3rd & 14. And then there's the 2nd & 17 during the final drive which was the result of, you guess it, a sack. He didn't convert that, but made it into a very manageable 3rd & short.
Sorry, but the big, bad Denver front 7 just isn't as scary when you have a guy who can make plays while eluding pressure.
