They'd be in their prime right when the Chiefs are looking to push though. It's a better scenario to get those guys in now, so they can be acclimated and ready to roll in 2019 forward, if that's the plan.
The Chiefs are at the ground floor, but if they choose to wait til next year, they're lagging.
Year 3 of the rookie QB money is when you wanna be right in the middle of the window. Not just getting started.
