Look, you're either of legal age, and able to give legal consent to sex, and therefore in the eyes of the law not needing the type of protection we give minors, or you're not.
Why the actual **** should a teacher have a permanent record and risk jail for having sex with an 18 year old? That same 18 year old's nurse, priest, boss at work, etc. etc could **** them silly, but if his/her TEACHER does it, throw away the key? What kind of logic does that make?
The teacher should be FIRED. That's it. Jail? That's ridiculous.
