There are currently 15 NFL QBs averaging more than $20M per year. So, if you want one and you want one that has averaged 4300 yards, 26 TDs and 12 INTs the last 3 years, then pay him.
Cousins will be 30 this year, entering his 7th season and has been on a nice consistent pace of production at a high level.

The reason he is asking is because of the salary cap. Paying a guy like Kirk Cousins that much out of your cap really puts the pressure on Elway’s drafting which has inspired no confidence over the past few years Not to mention your ability to win anything of significance now will be neutralized by losing guys like Talib and Sanders.
