I like Smith more than most and feel he is better than Cousins, but not by that wide of a margin. In fact I would say the gap is close enough that you could reasonably argue its a lateral move. It seems to me they would have been better to keep Cousins and Fuller and not move down 20 spots in the 3rd round.

I like Alex, but he is not an upgrade over Cousins. The only thing that would remotely make me believe that is Alex is signable for DC where Cousins is not.
Age: Cousins > Smith
QBR: Cousins > Smith
TD/INT ratio: Cousins > Smith
Playoffs: Smith > Cousins
Able to sign: Smith > Cousins
