My dad came home from work to find our mower, early 70's, torn down in a not so neat manner, with a note stating it needed a head gasket, a couple of o-rings, and an optional drainable float bowl. w/ part numbers.
It was running like shit days before and he was putting off taking the mower
to the shop in favor of beer money. I know he wanted to beat my ass but a trip to Kansas Power Equipment on 38th and for less than $1 it was mowing the grass the next day.
He, nor my mother, ever said a word about it to my face ever again.
