I thought it was a very, very cool way to introduce a new force power and one that only a wise old Jedi Master would be able to pull off, obviously. At great cost to himself.

I was actually expecting him to raise his X-Wing from the water and fly off, which would have been cool, but a little unoriginal. I did expect him to show up in his X-Wing at Crait, though, which would have been a HUGE crowd pleaser. Luke in his X-Wing and Chewie in the Falcon bitchslapping TIEs? omg.

To that end, I was kinda sad R2-D2 had almost nothing to do in this movie but say hi to Luke, but I guess it's BB-8's show now.
