So after being lucky enough to drink the 2017 Bourbon County lineup on Sunday, I came away impressed (and drunken). Anyone that cares can read my amateurish thoughts as a non-authority who prefers IPAs in the spoiler.

BCBS Reserve (11 yr Knob Creek barrels) - incredibly clean and smooth, my favorite of the day.
Proprietor's (bananas foster) - I was leery about the banana puree, but happily got a more brûléed sugar flavor and not in a diabeetus bomb kind of way.
BCBS Coffee - I'm not a big BA coffee stout fan so I probably didn't love this one as much as I should have (it was my wifes favorite). I think this one will come down to a preference in coffee flavor. Reactions ranged from best of the day and hate. I did not get any of the vegetal flavors being floated around.
BCBS Northwoods (blueberry and almond) - I was expecting a liquified Yankee Candle but was surprised at the balance. Not too sweet but still think it might shine more once the adjuncts/flavors fade a bit. Still wouldn't go out of my way for this one.
BCBS Regular (palate starting to struggle like Chiefs-era Thomas Jones trying to gain the edge) - I thought it was fantastic. I'm usually good for a bottle or 2 but I may try and grab a few more this year.
Barleywine (palate about as active as Dee Ford at this point) - I enjoyed it but my lasting impression was how hot it was. I thought I read where they're using clean barrels for the barleywine since the 2015 infection, instead of used BCBS barrels and that may be why, but I was fairly buzzed by this point.

They were also pouring mystery vintages and other BA goodies. I missed out on the Double Barrel BCBS though. There was also this guy walking around with a sixtel keg of BCBS strapped to his back, just pouring it for anyone. Pretty amazing thing to see.
